DESCRIPTION: USA worked closely with DuPage Children’s Museum staff to develop age-appropriate air-related exhibits for the new AWEsome Air gallery. The exhibits draw upon our tried-and-true engineering solutions at their core, but with completely unique and fresh designs to create a cohesive experience. Young visitors explore the forces of nature, as the exhibits encourage movement, play, and participation with all of their senses. Exhibits are activated by hands, feet, and full bodies.

Design development, cost analysis, and prototyping were truly collaborative between the museum, our staff, and DCM Design. The development and prototyping phases included child testing, and observation of parent-child interactions, to develop intuitive exhibits with minimal text and instructions.
