DESCRIPTION: These projects required re-imagining the new spaces for the Weiser State Forest District 18 Office with accompanying exhibit item, as well as, Buchanan Forest District Management Center. Through extensive content development and exhibit design, visitors were to gain knowledge of what the Bureau of Forestry does and why they are necessary to ensure that visitors understand that healthy forests are critical to all life. Visitors to the Buchanan Forest District Management Center, learn about native flora and fauna, history of the forest, and more importantly, conservation efforts to preserve the Commonwealth’s land.
USA provided exhibits included artifact mounting, graphics, media, mechanical interactives, and graphic mural installation. This project also featured work done in-house by our recently expanded Scenic Department – a life-sized replica of a red oak tree, one of Pennsylvania’s native trees.
