DESCRIPTION: USA and Gecko Group transformed the much beloved cottage structure at the Please Touch Museum into an enchanting space to have quiet play and reading activities with early learners. The new theming inspires a love and appreciation of books, complete with height appropriate book nooks, a bed, cozy wooden seating around a fireplace, and a table and chairs for group activities.

Our team sourced age-appropriate products and provided cost consulting through design development. Newly fabricated elements include a graphic and hand painted wall mural, new front entry façade with scenic moss, lighting, functional mailbox, a scenic fireplace with wood stools, a reading nook with bed and accessible shelving, custom wood table and chairs, and thematic graphics and decorations. The result is a completely transformed cottage, making it a cozy reading and respite space to encourage the youngest visitors to connect words, play and books.
